Nikola Tesla was born in Serbia, Croatia, in 1856.
He started inventing when he was a kid.

He immigrated to the United States in 1884.

Among them were enhancements to the telegraph, arc lights, and various electrical devices like generators and motors.
One of his best creations was the ac induction motor, which he sold to Westinghouse.
Tesla joined Westinghouse and helped him win the battle for the distribution of electrical power across the globe and in the United States.
Edison was determined to use direct current (dc) to electrify everything, but he soon realized that doing so would be wasteful and require more generating stations spread out over shorter distances.
However, alternating current (ac) could be effectively transported over extremely long distances before being stepped back down to levels that could be used where it was intended to be used due to its ability to be stepped up in voltage by a transformer.
Although he has thousands of patents and inventions, few of them have yielded significant profits.
Due to his royalties and the occasional support for research he received from a steady supply of wealthy patrons, he was able to live comfortably in hotels in New York City.
In general, Tesla’s busy mind prevented him from patenting or otherwise safeguarding every invention.
Consequently, despite the fact that Marconi received his first British patents in the same year that he patented radio in the United States, he was never acknowledged as the inventor.
Tesla was able to attract a lot of attention from the media for his work, but marconi came along and took all of the credit and glory before Tesla realized what was going on.

The Nobel Prize in Physics that Marconi received in 1909 only served to intensify his rivalry with Tesla.
In 1915, Tesla filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the Marconi firm without success.
Marconi had won.

In a bizarre turn of events, marconi’s company filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the United States government in 1943 during World War I.
The lawsuit, on the other hand, was never heard in court.
Instead, the United States Supreme Court upheld patent 645,576, reestablishing Tesla as the radio’s inventor, despite Tesla’s death a few months earlier.
