Twitter’s New CEO, Linda Yaccarino just sent a message to all workers in the Twitter headquarters.
“From space exploration to electric vehicles, Elon Musk knew these industries needed transformation – to drive civilization forward through the unfiltered exchange of information and talk about the things that matter most to us”, Twitter’s New Chief reported.
When talking about her past, she was the head of the advertising unit at NBCUniversal and worked there for decades. She is from Long Island, New York, United States. The message was to make the Twitter company to be a ”global town square”.
Twitter is on a mission to become the world’s most accurate real-time information source and a global town square for communication. That's not an empty promise.
Twitter Superwoman will check on Twitter’s ads business because it’s still unstable since Elon Musk acquired the company. Meanwhile, Tesla Titan will check on Product and Engineering units of the company.
She said “The mission of Twitter is becoming world’s most accurate real-time information source and a global town for communication”. Since, takeover, the platform’s ad revenue of the US has sliced by half. Ad sales of twitter dropped by 59 percent, said New York Times.
When “free speech” topic was going viral, many key executives at the social platforms were fired, and controversial people like Donald Trump and Andrew Tate got allowed to the platform.
Then many high profile brands said they would not use twitter’s advertising. Also, Twitter value got dropped from 44 billion to 20 billion dollar. Then Elon said “Twitter was roughly breaking even ” and “almost all advertisers have come back or said they are going to come back”.
She was selected because of her workings in the advertising network. “It’s rare to have the chance to put a new future into the hands of every person, partner, and creator on the planet. That’s exactly why I’m here – with all of you,” she added.
